Warner Bros. Japan and Wit Studio unveiled first look at their upcoming original Isekai Anime set in the DC universe earlier today at the Anime Expo. A teaser for the anime and a poster featuring Harley Quinn was also released on the official website and social media.

DC’s Harley Quinn, the Joker, and The Suicide Squad rampage onto the stage of ISEKAI in the new original anime series from Warner Bros. Japan and Wit Studio, Suicide Squad ISEKAI. ISEKAI means “another world”, which is now one of the most popular genres for Japanese anime.
Production:
Eri Osada, the director of episodes for “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “Gintama,” is helming the original anime at Wit Studio. The scripts are being written by Tappei Nagatsuki, the author of “Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-” and the writer of the “Vivy Prototype” light novel, along with Eiji Umehara, also a writer for the “Vivy Prototype” light novel.
The announcement art, featuring Harley Quinn, was drawn by manga artist Akira Amano, known for works like “ēlDLIVE,” “Reborn!,” and “Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective.” Character designs are being handled by Naoto Hosoda, a key animator for “Seiren” and “Digimon: The Movie.” The music composition is being done by Kenichiro Suehiro, who has worked on projects like “Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-,” “Golden Kamuy,” and “Undead Unluck.” Warner Bros. Japan’s animation producer for this project is Shinya Tsuruoka.
Wit Studio has gained recognition for producing popular anime series such as “Attack on Titan,” “The Ancient Magus’ Bride,” “Ranking of Kings,” “Spy×Family,” and the upcoming “SPY×FAMILY Code: White” anime film, among others. In addition, the company has recently launched its own vertical-scrolling full-color manga app called HykeComic.
