One Piece has officially ‘broken’ the Internet!

Congratulations to “One Piece” for reaching the exclusive ranks of anime that generate so much hype that they crash Crunchyroll servers. Episode 1071 is now streaming on Crunchyroll, but technical difficulties are preventing many viewers from watching it.

One Piece has officially 'broken' the Internet!

Crunchyroll, the leading anime streaming platform, has been reported as inaccessible by numerous users on X (formerly known as Twitter). The cause of this outage is the release of “One Piece” episode 1071, which reveals Luffy’s most significant transformation to date: Gear 5.

This isn’t the first time Crunchyroll has experienced issues during the release of highly anticipated anime episodes. Fans have even coined the term “Elite Club” for these episodes that successfully crash the platform.

Previous instances of server crashes include the unveiling of Goku’s Ultra Instinct in “Dragon Ball Super,” the first episode of “Attack on Titan” season 3, “Demon Slayer” season 2 episode 1, and now the debut of “One Piece” Gear 5.

The immense popularity of “One Piece” is evident from the crashing of Crunchyroll’s servers. While it may seem like a badge of honor, Crunchyroll should address this problem to avoid inconvenience to its paid subscribers.
