The second season of the JUJUTSU KAISEN anime has unveiled its initial visual and trailer for the Shibuya Incident Arc. This highly anticipated arc is scheduled to premiere on the upcoming Thursday, August 31st. Accompanying this announcement is the revelation that King Gnu will be performing the theme song “SPECIALZ,” a track showcased in the newly released trailer.

Having already aired five episodes, the second season of JUJUTSU KAISEN has delved into the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc. As it approaches the culmination of its three-week hiatus, the anime is poised to transition into the Shibuya Incident arc for its next phase, which will span 18 episodes. Notably, updated character designs for Geto, Mahito, and Choso have been showcased in preparation for this arc’s unfolding narrative.

In addition to the ongoing season, it’s worth mentioning that studio MAPPA is responsible for animating both the inaugural 24-episode season and the prequel movie within the franchise. Plot of Jujutsu Kaisen:
Within the tale, Yuji Itadori emerges as a seemingly ordinary high school student blessed with exceptional physical prowess. However, his life takes a dramatic turn when he intervenes to save a fellow classmate from a curse-induced assault. In a fateful twist, he consumes a digit of Ryomen Sukuna, inadvertently absorbing the curse into his own being.
This act binds him to Ryomen Sukuna within a shared existence. Under the guidance of the formidable sorcerer Satoru Gojo, Itadori gains admission into Tokyo Jujutsu High School—an institution dedicated to combatting curses. And so, the epic saga unfurls, chronicling the journey of a young man who transforms into a curse in order to vanquish curses, irrevocably embarking on a path from which he can never retreat.
