The Horimiya series originated from the manga “Hori-san to Miyamura-kun” by Hiroki Adachi, also known as HERO. The manga initially started as a four-panel comic published on the author’s website. In 2008, Square Enix acquired the rights to the manga and published it in ten volumes under their Gangan Comics imprint. Furthermore, additional chapters were gathered in the series known as “Hori-san to Miyamura-kun Omake
Daisuke Hagiwara adapted the four-panel manga under the supervision of HERO, creating the Horimiya manga. It was serialized from 2011 to 2021 in Monthly GFantasy magazine. Yen Press has licensed the English version of the manga, which tells the heartwarming story of school life. Kyouko Hori, known for her intelligence and popularity, crosses paths with Izumi Miyamura, a seemingly dull and gloomy classmate. As they get to know each other, they discover that everyone has multiple sides and stories to tell.
