The eagerly awaited two-part Haikyu Final Movie has revealed exciting details about its first installment.
This movie, titled “Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle,” shares its name with chapter 294 of the manga and will delve into the highly anticipated showdown between the Karasuno and Nekoma teams. These movies will serve as a direct continuation of the fourth season and will be brought to life by Production I.G.
Production I.G, not only working on the final movies but also known for animating the Haikyu TV anime series.
The journey began with the first season in 2014, followed by a sequel that started in the fall of 2015 and concluded during the winter of 2016 after 25 thrilling episodes. Then came Season 3, titled “Haikyu!! Karasuno High School vs Shiratorizawa Academy,” comprising 10 episodes that aired throughout the fall of 2016. There’s also the Haikyu!! Riku vs Kuu OVA, which serves as its sequel. The most recent installment, “Haikyuu!! To the Top,” graced our screens in two parts, first in winter 2020 and then in fall 2020. Alongside the TV anime, the franchise has spawned multiple recap movies, OVAs, side stories, and omake content.
The foundation of this dynamic series is Haruichi Furudate’s manga, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2020. The manga reached its climax after 405 chapters, collected into 45 volumes.
