Best Weapons for Furina build in Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact Furina Guide - Best Furina weapons
Even Favonius Sword works great on Furina (Image credits: Hoyoverse)
  1. Splendor of Tranquil Waters: Furina’s signature weapon is obviously the most fitting for her. Just make sure you meet the energy requirements and this weapon will provide the maximum damage from Furina’s skill.
  2. Primordial Jade Cutter: Provides some HP% and big Crit Rate% stat. Both of these stats are appreciated by Furina, making it very good for her.
  3. Festering Desire: If you have it from the 1.2 event, this sword is one of the best options for Furina, even out-damaging some 5-star options.
  4. Key of Khaj-Nisut: Nilou’s weapon is HP and Elemental Mastery focused, needless to say, it works very well on Furina by providing a huge amount of HP stat while also giving some EM for reaction-based teams.
  5. Fleuve Cendre Ferryman: The sword from the fishing mini-game works as the best F2P option if you don’t have the Festering Desire. It provides an Elemental Skill damage bonus and Crit Rate stat that perfectly fits Furina.

Other options: Favonius, Light of Foliar Incision, Mistsplitter Reforged, and Wolf-Fang also fit Furina very well, however, it’s best to go for the swords mentioned above.

Best Artifacts for Furina build in Genshin Impact

The 4-piece Golden Troupe artifact set is best for Furina in Genshin Impact (Image credits: Hoyoverse)
  1. 4-piece Golden Troupe: Artifact designed specifically for Furina, she enjoys the Elemental Skill boost and the 4-piece bonus.
  2. 4-piece Tenacity of the Millelith: Useful if you use attack scaling supports or DPS in your team. However, it greatly decreases Furina’s personal damage.
  3. 2-piece Heart of Depth + 2-piece Any HP%: You can mix and match 2 pieces as a placeholder if you don’t have the Golden Troupe.

Artifact stat priority for Furina build in Genshin

Sands: ER% or HP%
Mostly ER Sands if you don’t meet the energy requirement. If you can get the Burst back on cooldown, use HP% to increase Furina’s damage. You must not use ATK, Defence, or Elemental Mastery as they are useless for her.

Goblet: Hydro DMG
Hydro Damage Goblet will deal the most damage but if you don’t have one, an HP one will be fine.

Circlet: Crit DMG / Crit Rate or HP
Generally speaking, Crit will always be superior but a very good HP circlet might come on top in certain teams that use the Hydro resonance buff.

Your substats will focus on ER%, Crit, and HP%. Don’t use three HP% please.

Furina fits perfectly in a huge variety of team compositions (Image credits: Hoyoverse)

Furina is a very strong Sup-DPS but if you really want to maximize her, it is recommended to use a team-wide healer to keep up with her HP drain and Fanfare points mechanic. With that in mind, here are some team compositions to put your Furina in:

  1. Neuvillette Hypercarry: Furina, Neuvillette, Kazuha and Zhongli
  2. Triple Hydro: Furina, Kokomi, Kazuha, Yelan or Xingqiu
  3. Taser: Furina, Kokomi, Fischl, Kazuha
  4. Xiao Plunge: Furina, Xianyun, Xiao, Faruzan
  5. Triple-Geo: Furina, Noelle, Albedo, Gorou
  6. Cyno Carry: Furina, Baizhu, Cyno, Nahida
  7. Vaporize Hypercarry: Furina, Bennett/Jean, Hu Tao/Arlecchino, Xingqiu/Yelan
  8. Nilou Bloom: Furina, Baizhu, Nilou, Nahida

Of course, these teams are just examples, Furina is very versatile, and with such a huge number of characters in Genshin, it’s impossible to list all the possible combinations. So, you are free to replace characters and experiment on yourself.

Genshin Impact Furina Build Guide: Kit explanation

Furina's Elemental Skill and Burst make her very good (Image credits: Hoyoverse)

Furina is a Hydro Sub-DPS who provides her team with up to a whopping 75% damage boost while constantly draining the HP of every teammate. This makes running a burst healer (healer who heals the whole team in one go) like Baizhu, Charlotte, Jean, etc, very valuable teammates. She can also act as a healer in a pinch but it’s not a viable strategy as it causes a lot of DPS loss.

The damage of her Elemental Skill scales entirely from HP, making her weapon and artifact selection very F2P friendly.

Furina’s Normal Attacks: Soloist’s Solicitation

Normal Attacking with Furina is useless at C0. The charged attack is mostly used to change her Arkhe alignments or change her damage-dealing summons with a healing summon. She switches between Pneuma and Ousia by using her Charged Attack with changes visible on her character model.

Furina’s Elemental Skill: Salon Solitaire

  • Cooldown: 20 seconds
  • Duration: 30 seconds

As already stated, Furina switches her summons based on her Arkhe alignment. Hence, her Elemental Skill can be used for damage or healing. Let’s break down her Elemental Skill:

Ousia alignment

  • Summons 3 creatures who follow the active character.
  • When summoned, creatures will constantly drain the HP of all characters on the team until it reaches 50% HP.
  • Each creature attacks independently and prioritizes the current target.
  • Players don’t need to use Normal Attacks to trigger attacks from creatures.

Pneuma alignment

  • Summons a single creature who does not follow the active character.
  • It heals the on-field character in a large radius.
  • It doesn’t deal damage to enemies or apply Hydro.
  • It doesn’t generate energy or Hydro particles.

The Pneuma skill is only useful for recovering HP in a pinch or outside the battles. In combat, it is almost always recommended to use the three summons from the Ousia alignment.

Furina’s Elemental Burst: Let the People Rejoice

  • Energy cost: 60
  • Duration: 18 seconds

Furina’s Elemental Burst deals one instance of Hydro damage and applies Universal Revelry to the team. During this, Furina will start draining the HP of the whole team and collect Fanfare points each time a character loses or gains HP. At C0, A maximum of 300 Fanfare points can be gained this way.

During her Elemental Burst, Furina buffs the damage of the whole party based on the amount of Fanfare points, up to a maximum of 75% damage bonus. It is recommended to run a party-wide healer (more info in the best teams section) to quickly stack Fanfare points and gain the maximum damage bonus.

Furina Build Genshin Impact: Talents priority

Furina’s talent priorities

Elemental Burst = Elemental Skill > Normal Attacks

The majority of Furina’s damage stems from her Skill while the damage boost she provides comes from her Elemental Burst. Hence, they are the same priority. You can choose not to level up Normal Attacks at all if you want to save resources.

Ascension talents

Ascension 1: Furina provides 4% heals to every character every time another healer heals the team.

Ascension 4: Every 1,000 HP Furina has, up to 40,000 HP boosts the following:

  • The three damage-dealing summons gain up to 28% damage bonus
  • The healing summon can gain up to a 16% healing bonus.

Furina is possibly the best Buffer and Sub-DPS in Genshin Impact right now. Her long-lasting Elemental Skill provides high off-field damage while her burst significantly buffs the entire team. Her buff is stronger than any other character in the game as it brings a flat 75% damage boost to the whole team at max Fanfare points.
