A-1 Pictures, known for their work on Fate/Apocrypha in 2017, will be responsible for producing Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn. The anime takes inspiration from Ryogo Narita’s light novel series, which shares the same name and is published by Dengeki Bunko. Set in the same universe as the Fate/stay night anime and movie (originally visual novels published by TYPE-MOON), the story unfolds in the United States, seventy years after the Third Holy Grail War, featuring both a “True” and “False” Holy Grail war.
The main cast for Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn has been announced, including talented voice actors such as:
Kana Hanazawa as Ayaka Sajo, Yuki Ono as Saber, Sumire Morohoshi as Tine Chelc, Tomokazu Seki as Gilgamesh (Archer), Yuu Kobayashi as Enkidu (Lancer), and many others.
Crunchyroll will stream the special with both sub and English dub options; however, the release date for international viewers has not yet been confirmed. Anime Expo attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to witness the premiere of the special during this year’s event.
