Kachina is a Geo Polearm Sub-DPS who relies on her Elemental Skill to deal damage. Her raw damage is decent for a 4-star and Kachina can be used as a substitute for Geo Traveler or Albedo in Double Geo team compositions.
Her kit is focused on dealing area-of-effect damage (AOE) using her Turbo Twirly (Drill Geo Construct) whose damage scales with Kachina’s Defense stat.
Kachina, like other Natlan characters, also has a Nightsoul’s Blessing state where she can ride her Turbo Twirly construct to swiftly scale the landscape. Let’s have a deeper look into her kit.

Kachina’s Elemental Skill has two states: Tap and Press & Hold state. When held, Kachina will ride her Turbo Twirly on the battlefield and gain 60 Nightsoul points to enter the Nightsoul’s Blessing state. While riding, Kachina can use her Normal Attacks to deal AOE Geo damage to enemies that scale with Kachina’s Defense stat.
When tapped, Kachina will summon her Turbo Twirly which stays on the ground even when Kachina is switched out. Kachina’s construct will then hit the ground at regular intervals, dealing Geo damage that scales with Kachina’s Defense stat. The Turbo Twirly is considered a Geo Construct, meaning characters like Chiori can receive the required buffs.

Talent level-up priority
- First priority: Elemental Skill

Passive Talent: Night Realm’s Gift: Heart of Unity
Once Kachina depletes her Nightsouls, she will start using Phlogiston to maintain her Nightsoul’s Blessing state.
When in an area with Phlogiston Devices within Natlan, she can use Nightsoul Transmission: Kachina. When the character is sprinting, swimming, in a movement mode caused by certain Talents, or at a certain height in the air, the following events will trigger when switching to Kachina:
She will enter Nightsoul’s Blessing with 30 Nightsoul points and start riding the Turbo Twirly. Then, she can use a Nightsoul Transmission every 10 seconds.
Moreover, Kachina will consume 90% less stamina when riding her Geo Construct.

Kachina will gain a 20% Geo damage bonus after a party member triggers Nightsoul Burst.

Genshin Impact Kachina build guide: Is Kachina Worth Pulling?
Kachina is a decent 4-Star Geo Sub-DPS that does the job. So if you like her design, lore, story, or personality, you’re free to pull for her. However, she doesn’t really bring something new to the table or provide anything extra.
While yes, the new Natlan artifacts are good and if you want to use its passive in a Geo team, then yes, having Kachina is worth it. However, I will not recommend especially going after her from a meta point of view. She’s adorable but not very valuable.
