In the previous season directed by Kenichi Imaizumi, with Noboru Takagi handling the series composition and Hisashi Abe taking care of character designs, the show garnered much attention. Jun Fukuyama as Sei Ei/Ying Zheng, Masakazu Morita as Shin Ri/Li Xin, and Rie Kugimiya as Karyo Ten/He Liao Diao will reprise their roles in Season 5.

Kingdom is based on Yasuhisa Hara’s shounen manga that started its journey in Weekly Young Jump in 2006. With a vast 708 chapters and 62 volumes, it has made a significant impact. Fun fact: Sui Ishida, the renowned Tokyo Ghoul author, was once Hara’s assistant for this project. The anime adaptation, handled by Pierrot and IKIF+, debuted in 2012 and has given us 129 thrilling episodes so far.

While the manga remains unlicensed in English, French fans can enjoy it officially. Crunchyroll is the go-to platform for streaming the action-packed series, and they describe the plot as

an epic journey of two war orphans, Shin and Hyou, in the kingdom of Qin, who dream of proving themselves on the battlefield. Their fate intertwines when a mysterious youth bearing an eerie resemblance to Hyou emerges, a boy destined to become the emperor one day.

As we gear up for Kingdom Season 5, fans can’t wait to witness more epic battles and gripping stories in the world of Qin!
