Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 237 Spoilers: Sukuna’s Original Form Revealed!

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 237 Spoilers: Sukuna’s Original Form Revealed!

In Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 237, we expected to see Kashimo facing off against Sukuna, and that’s exactly what happened. Some early information also revealed that two new characters join the fight, making things more complicated. The official English translation will be available on Monday, October 2, 2023, at 12 a.m. JST in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump issue 42.

In the previous chapter, Gojo met Get, Haibara, and Nanami in the afterlife and thought about his fight with Sukuna. We learned that Mahoraga had fully adapted to Infinity and had cut Gojo in half. After Gojo’s death, Hajime Kashimo entered the battlefield as the God of Lightning.

Chapter 237 of Jujutsu Kaisen reveals Sukuna’s original form as Kashimo and Hakari begin their battle.

According to the spoilers, Chapter 237 is titled “Back to Shinjuku Battlefield, Part 14”.

The chapter starts with Kashimo facing off against Sukuna, while Uraume stands on a block of ice high above the battlefield. On the other side, Hakari also enters the fray, as he promised Kashimo a chance to fight Sukuna and won’t let Uraume interfere.

Hakari uses his special move, Idle Death Gamble, around Uraume, who counters with Ice Formation. Even though Uraume is trapped in Hakari’s move, the block of ice they’re on continues falling and eventually melts. Kashimo realizes this was a tactic to get a weapon to Sukuna.

Yorozu created a Cursed Tool called Kamutoke in exchange for a Binding Vow. However, it’s unclear from the spoilers whether this happened during the Heian Era or after she was reincarnated for the Culling Game.

Sukuna uses this Tool to launch an electric attack on Kashimo, who is immune to electricity due to his Cursed Energy. Kashimo asks Sukuna if he became strong or if he was born strong. Sukuna admits he doesn’t know, as he was an unwanted child. Kashimo then questions the meaning of strength and whether it leads to disdain for others, because being strong often means being alone and always seeking a place to demonstrate that strength. Sukuna likens Kashimo to Gojo, calling him extravagant.

Kashimo then uses his Cursed Technique called “Genjuu Kohaku (Phantom Beast Amber)”. He lands a punch on Sukuna and follows up with another attack. This technique allows him to release any attack he forms with his Cursed Energy in the form of a wave. It boosts his strength and agility, but it also means he has to go beyond normal human limits, which will take a toll on his body once he deactivates it.

In raw scans, Kashimo seems to take on an intangible form made of electric, gaseous matter. He manages to hit Sukuna again. The scans explain that Sukuna can only revive his original body once without using the Reversed Cursed Technique, and he had been holding off on it until now.

But in this chapter, he triggers the transformation. The scans show mist surrounding Sukuna before he emerges in his original, Heian Era form with four arms and four eyes. The narration says the Reincarnation transformation has begun again.

This chapter has naturally raised concerns about Megumi’s situation. The editor’s note at the beginning points out that it’s no longer a “Battle of the Strongest,” but a battle of many against the Strongest. The note at the end says “Manifestation of true form.” According to the spoilers, there won’t be a break next week.
