Genshin Impact is all set to bring some exciting stuff in its upcoming 4.1 version. They’ve officially announced a Special Program livestream happening on September 15, 2023, at 7:30 AM (UTC-4).
So, what’s in store for this update? Well, brace yourselves because two new playable characters, Wriothesley and Neuvillette, are coming your way. Not just that, there’s a whole new region up in the northern part of Fontaine waiting to be explored in version 4.1. We’ll get the full scoop during the livestream, so stay tuned for the details.

Genshin Impact 4.1 Livestream
Genshin Impact Version 4.1 Release Date
The Genshin Impact 4.1 update will go live on September 27, 2023. This gives Travelers the chance to farm up a few more Primogems ready for the new character banners, so be sure to finish up any 4.0 events.

Character Event Wishes
Phrase 1
Neuvillette (5 star catalyst) is stepping into the limelight in the first phase, alongside Hu Tao (5 star polearm). The first phase 4 stars will be Xingqiu (4 star sword), Fischl (4 star bow), Diona (4 star bow).
Phase 2
Meanwhile, Wriothesley (5 star catalyst) is gearing up for phase two alongside the Anemo Archon, Venti (5 star bow). Joining them in phase 2 will be Thoma (4 star polearm), Chongyun (4 star claymore) and Dori (4 star claymore).
New Story Quests
With new 5 star characters, there is always a dedicated story quest for players to know more about the new characters. The story quest for Wriothesley, “Cerberus Chapter: Act 1” will be available after the update.
The story quest for Neuvillette, “Diluvies Chapter: Act 1” will be available after the 4.1 update.
New 4 Star Weapons
Four brand new weapons have been confirmed for the Genshin Impact Version 4.1 update. The Dockhand’s Assistant (4 star sword), Portable Power Saw (4 star claymore), Prospector’s Drill (4 star polearm) and Range Guage (4 star bow).
New Archon Quest
Chapter IV “Cataclysm’s Quickening” and Act III: “To the Stars Shining in the Depths” of the Fontaine Archon Quest (Main story quest) will be available after the Genshin Impact 4.1 update. The update will explore Fortress of Meropide, where Travelers must investigate a series of incidents and track down Childe — the Eleventh of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers.
New World Bosses
Two new world bosses, Experimental Field Generator and Millennial Pearl Seahorse were also announced to be coming in Genshin Impact 4.1. These new bosses will serve as the source of level up material for Wriothesly and Neuvillette.
Anniversary Rewards
Players can expect Primogems x1600, Fragile Resin x4, a new follow companion gadget called Itty Bitty Octobaby and Portable Aerodynamic Gelatinous Bubble Generator!
Gameplay Enhancements
Updates to the daily commission system has been made to provide players with more ways to complete the dailies. The new commission update adds a system akin to the Honkai: Star Rail like system where players will be able to complete specific mini tasks to claim daily rewards. It is worth nothing that the current daily commission system is not removed but the new one is added as an alternative.
To make it easier for new players to identify the Ascension Quest, a “Can Ascend” indicator will pop up whenever players reach the required Adventure Rank.

- The Peaks and Troughs of Life: A Fontaine researcher tests Pressurized Impactors.
- Radiant Harvest: Help merchant Kesean remove the laboratory-created fish from Fontaine’s waters.
- Dodoco’s Bomb-Tastic Adventure: Use Dodoco to throw different types of Jumpy Dumpties to defeat spiky fishes.
- Overflowing Mastery: Double talent level up materials.
- Hundred-Pace Hurling Rites: Dart throw events.
- Inspiration Eruption: Create a team and take down your enemies by using Inspiring Crystals, which release an AoE shockwave that damages nearby foes.
- Mending Painting Prospects: Take pictures and search for missing objects to help the art conservator restore paintings.
