Good news for the old and new Dragon Ball anime fans. According to a Twitter/X user, @oecuf0, A new Dragon Ball Anime is rumoured to be under production. While there is no official confirmation of this news yet, the possibility of Dragon Ball getting a new anime series has caused quite the anticipation among fans of the series.

According to the leak, the new Dragon Ball Super anime will consist of 10 to 15 episodes and has been in production since the summer of 2022.

Dragon Ball anime rumours have been around ever since Dragon Ball Super ended back in 2018. However, this rumour received more attention and credibility as the original post was quote retweeted by a renowned leaker @Spytrue which gave us a possible timeline for announcement and/or release date of the anime to be 2024.

Speculations about the New Dragon Ball Anime

The leaker states that they do not have any information about the story of the new Dragon Ball project. However, we can make some speculations and guesses based on what we know from the manga.

The last installment of Dragon Ball anime, Dragon Ball Super ended with Universe 7 winning the Tournament of Power. The saga ended with Chapter 41 of the Dragon Ball Super manga. Hence, further continuation of manga is what seems to be most likely.

New Dragon Ball Anime Rumoured to be Under Production

The next arc in the manga is called Galactic Patrol Saga and spans around 25 chapters. However, the leak suggests that only up to 15 episodes are in production. Hence, the low episode count leaves some to speculate that the new anime could be a recap for Dragon Ball Super Broly or an anime original story.
