Hey guys wassup? Did you know after the recent release of the series Chainsaw Man fans got a ton of answers about what’s happening in Chainsaw Man before diving into Chapter 139. Denji’s date, Fumiko Mifune, got properly introduced, and we found out that Hirofumi Yoshida and her are both Public Safety Devil Hunters.
In the previous issue, we got an update on Asa Mitaka, who seems to be struggling with depression despite her newfound fame. But the latest pages of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s work dropped some major bombshells.
Out of nowhere, Sword Man made a surprising comeback in the final pages. He’s one of Makima’s Hybrids from the Tokyo Special Division 5 from part 1 of the series. So now, everyone’s on the edge of their seats, wondering what Sword Man’s planning in Chapter 139 and how Fujimoto’s gonna twist the story next.
Following his reunion with his old enemy Sword Man, Denji is probably going to be the main focus of Chainsaw Man Chapter 139
Most likely, Chainsaw Man Chapter 139 will begin with a sustained focus on Denji and Sword Man, who have just reunited after their previous fight. Likewise, fans expect Sword Man to try to convince Denji to team up for something because Sword Man’s got thoughts about Asa Mitaka and how she’s stealing Chainsaw Man’s spotlight.
The possibilities are wild – they could team up to take down Asa, or maybe Denji could join a group of Hybrids, perhaps survivors from Tokyo Special Division 5. And let’s not forget fan favorites like Quanxi and Reze, whose whereabouts we haven’t heard about yet.
In Chapter 139 of Chainsaw Man, we will likely see that Denji might have a hard time trusting Sword Man. Their past as enemies and the recent stuff in Denji’s life could make it a tricky partnership. Plus, there’s Nayuta, the new Control Devil, in the picture. Denji lives with her, and he might worry that Sword Man recognizes her and causes trouble.
Overall, though, the big theory is that Sword Man and other Hybrids are forming a group to go against the Chainsaw Man Church. The way Sword Man slams the Chainsaw Man Church poster and talks about Asa seems to hint at this. And Denji’s gloomy look at the Asa poster just before talking to Sword Man adds more fuel to the theory.
But here’s another angle – Chapter 139 could shift its focus to Asa, who’s clearly dealing with depression. It’s totally in Fujimoto’s style to shift gears right after a major plot point. This might mean we’re diving into Asa’s world for the next few chapters.
