Hey wassup guys? guess what I just found out! At the Otakon panel on July 30, 2023, The well known director and mechanical designer Shinji Aramaki confirms that he’d directed an unreleased anime series Aliens vs. Predator.
During the panel, Aramaki amazed the audience by revealing screenshots and designs from the anime project titled “Aliens vs. Predator: Annihilation.” Can you imagine? This potential masterpiece has been kept hidden for years, and fans finally got a sneak peek at it.
So according to Aramaki, the anime series was actually completed about seven years ago, way back in 2015. But unfortunately, no one knows the real reason they didn’t release.
The storyline is set on a massive immigration ship and is said to consist of ten episodes. Unfortunately, Aramaki didn’t give away too many details, keeping a sense of mystery in case the project ever gets a proper release. We can only hope!
He even showed his own designs for the Alien Queen that he personally worked on for the anime series.
What tipped everyone off about Aramaki’s involvement was a report from IGN about the project. He expressed his disappointment on Twitter by saying “It was completed almost 7 years ago, and unfortunately, I don’t know why they didn’t release it.”
