‘Girlfriend, Girlfriend’ 2nd Season Teaser Trailer and Key Visual Out!

The official twitter of Kanojo mo Kanojo (Girlfriend, Girlfriend) revealed a brand new teaser for the upcoming season of the anime.

Alongside, a new Key Visual was also released to commemorate the announcement of the Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2.

This new season will feature a new studio and new staff alongside some returning members. Takatoshi Suzuki, who has directed A Couple of Cuckoos, will be directing the new season at Studio SP. Keiichiro Ochi along with Kazuhiko Inukai are returning as the script writers. Shuoko Hagiwara is the character designer for the upcoming season while the music is being composed by Nichion in coorperation with Myrica Music.

Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 Release Date and Teaser.

The second season is scheduled to air this fall season with premiere in October 2023.

Synopsis of Kanojo mo Kanojo (Girlfriend, Girlfriend)

After harboring an unrequited love for years, Naoya Mukai finally gets to date his childhood friend, Saki Saki. However, just as he tries to commit himself to this relationship, he receives an abrupt confession from Nagisa Minase.

At first, Naoya tries to reject her but is soon overcome by feelings of not wanting to hurt Nagisa. Trying to avoid betraying his girlfriend’s trust in him, Naoya thinks up a “solution” to make both girls happy—two-timing. Naturally, Saki rebuffs this idea, but through Naoya’s and Nagisa’s persistence, she reluctantly submits.

With this, a three-way affair begins between Naoya, his girlfriend, and his “other” girlfriend, as they develop a relationship that deviates from the social norm.
